How did you get your start in the wedding industry?
Lionsgate Event Center was born from a personal quest for the perfect wedding venue. In 1990, Tom and Marie Jenkinson purchased an abandoned property with a 1927-built home, intending to make it their own. When they struggled to find a venue for their own wedding, they saw potential in their new property, transforming it into The Dove House and hosting their first event in 1992. Since then, Lionsgate has expanded to include The Gatehouse and The Chandelier Barn, becoming a beloved, family-owned venue known for its charm, elegance, and commitment to creating unforgettable celebrations.
What is your favorite thing to do when not working?
When they're not creating dream weddings, the Lionsgate Ladies are all about enjoying life! You’ll find them dancing it out at concerts, hiking Colorado’s gorgeous trails, cozying up with a good book, or catching the latest movie. They love spending time with their furry friends (cats, dogs, and even a husky mix!), indulging in Mexican food, and exploring the best spots around town. These ladies bring as much passion and energy to their downtime as they do to every event they plan!
